Associate Immigration Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks an Associate Immigration Attorney in Los Angeles, CA. The successful candidate will manage their caseload, interact with clients, and collaborate with a team of attorneys and legal assistants. Duties Explain immigration concepts and present strategic solutions Represent individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals Manage a workload of diverse cases Conduct intake with detained individuals at centers Prepare immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions Review and adjust immigration applications/packets as needed Collaborate with law enforcement and community organizations on immigration law changes Meet with potential clients for strategic consultations and strategy development Prepare clients and witnesses for court/USCIS testimony Submit legal briefs for various immigration cases Requirements 1 to 4 years of experience in Immigration Law Team player with strong interpersonal skills Preferably bilingual in English and Spanish Proven ability to manage a caseload and move legal cases forward Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian, EOIR, Detained, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications Experience with Case Management Software is preferred Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
