This 13-week travel RN contract offers competitive weekly pay, night shifts, and the opportunity to provide expert women’s health and obstetric care in a busy regional healthcare setting.Job Details\n \n Position Type: Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN)\n Specialty: Labor & Delivery / Women’s Services\n Location: Bangor, Maine 04401\n Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470 - $2,600\n Contract Length: 13 weeks\n Shift: 12-hour nights\n Hours: 36 hours per week\n Start Date: October 6, 2026\n Setting: Labor & Delivery Unit\n EMR: Cerner\n Parking: Free on-site parking\n Scrubs: Navy scrubs provided on site\n Job Requirements\n \n Active Registered Nurse (RN) license\n Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience\n Previous travel nurse experience required; must have completed at least one assignment in a facility of comparable size and acuity\n Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, Intermediate or Advanced FHM, and MOAB certifications\n Experience providing high-acuity obstetric and maternal-fetal patient care\n Comfortable working overnight shifts in a fast-paced acute care environment\n Strong communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and clinical assessment skills\n Responsibilities\n \n Provide safe, compassionate Labor & Delivery nursing care to laboring, cervical ripening, antepartum, postpartum, and couplet care patients\n Monitor fetal heart rate patterns and respond appropriately to changes in maternal or fetal condition\n Administer and titrate medications such as Pitocin, insulin, and magnesium drips as ordered\n Perform cervical exams, assist with fetal scalp electrodes, and support IUPC placement and monitoring\n Assist with epidural placement and collaborate closely with anesthesia and the interdisciplinary care team\n Circulate C-sections, support operative deliveries, and provide newborn care as needed\n Recognize and respond to obstetric emergencies, including shoulder dystocia and postpartum hemorrhage\n Support safe skin-to-skin practices, lactation support, and newborn transition after delivery\n Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient-centered care\n \n Apply now for this Travel Labor & Delivery RN job in Bangor, Maine, and join a supportive healthcare team dedicated to maternal and newborn care.
