About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Business Development to open new financial services accounts and grow initial engagements into long-term AI programs. Responsibilities include building and managing a focused prospect list, developing senior-level client relationships, leading initial sales conversations, and qualifying opportunities based on sponsorship, budget, and production goals. The role will coordinate with technical specialists to shape proposals and scope and price combined platform-and-services engagements, then remain accountable for developing follow-on work after the first contract. The position also requires maintaining a disciplined sales pipeline and reliable forecast. Candidates should have at least 10 years of experience selling technology services, data, or AI solutions to financial services organizations, and a record of personally closing initial engagements worth $1 million or more. Applicants must have opened a new client account within the past three years and have full-cycle enterprise sales experience with senior operations and technology leaders. Strong consultative selling, executive-level relationships, and the ability to discuss AI deployments with clients are essential. Co-selling with a major cloud provider or AI research organization, and experience selling data or AI platforms alongside services, are preferred.
