About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President for Business Development, with a focus on capital formation, to join their team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving capital-raising efforts and fostering long-term relationships within the U.S. market. This role is pivotal as the firm expands its presence in North America, and the VP will work closely with senior leadership to shape and execute the distribution strategy. Experience in institutional sales is a must, with a preference for those who have a background in selling credit, hedge fund, or alternative investment strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong network across U.S. institutional investors and/or consultants, and a proven track record of driving new business and closing mandates. Applicants for the VP, Business Development role at the company should possess an entrepreneurial mindset and be comfortable operating in a lean, growth-oriented environment. The position requires a highly polished, client-facing communicator with strong commercial instincts. A minimum of 5-12 years' of experience in institutional sales, capital raising, or investor relations within asset management or alternatives is expected. While not mandatory, exposure to credit, hedge fund, alternative investment strategies, or private equity secondaries is desired. The role is based on the East Coast and will involve travel.
