Adventist Physical Health Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated and experienced full-time Physical Therapist to join our orthopedic outpatient practice located in Fresno, California. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in the rehabilitation journey of our patients, assisting them in regaining mobility, enhancing their quality of life, and achieving their personal functional goals. Adventist Physical Health Rehabilitation is a well-respected provider of physical therapy services, focusing primarily on orthopedic care. Our spacious 5,000 square foot facility is designed to facilitate a comprehensive range of sports medicine and rehabilitation therapies, allowing us to effectively serve a diverse patient population. Our dedicated team comprises two other licensed physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA), collectively committed to excellence in patient care.

Work Environment

This full-time role involves working onsite at our outpatient clinic in Fresno. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a balanced work-life integration while ensuring ample interaction with patients. This environment is patient-focused, with an emphasis on individualized treatment plans and the utilization of advanced rehabilitation techniques. The facility is equipped with cutting-edge technology to enhance patient assessment and treatment processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to establish the specific goals and needs of each patient.
• Manage a patient load of one patient per hour to ensure comprehensive care and attention.
• Leverage your previous experience in orthopedic outpatient care to develop targeted treatment approaches.
• Design and implement cost-effective treatment plans focused on enhancing patient mobility and function.
• Minimize the need for medication by recommending non-surgical interventions wherever possible.
• Create personalized fitness and wellness programs tailored to individual patient needs.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to deliver quality care and interventions, continuously assessing patient progress.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, motivating them throughout the rehabilitation process.
• Foster a proactive approach to improving strength, flexibility, coordination, and overall functionality.
• Collaborate with our interdisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain thorough documentation of services provided to ensure continuity of care and compliance with best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary patient demographic consists of individuals with private medical insurance who are seeking orthopedic rehabilitation. Our patients often deal with various conditions such as post-operative recovery, sports injuries, and general mobility issues. The focus is on treating the whole person—not just the injury or condition—while fostering a supportive and encouraging atmosphere.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Active license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Fresno, CA, with no disciplinary actions against it.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and therapeutic modalities.
• Strong ability to develop effective, individualized exercise regimens for patients.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) software, such as WebPT, to streamline documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, ideally within a private practice environment.
• Demonstrated capability in effective patient communication and relationship-building.
• Experience with the evaluation and implementation of evidence-based therapeutic exercises.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 110,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
