Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

Blue Chip Talent , in partnership with a life insurance and financial services organization, is seeking a skilled Manager, Financial Reporting . This role is responsible for leading internal and external financial reporting, maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and statutory accounting requirements. The position also oversees financial reporting and tax activities while delivering financial insights to senior leadership. Job Duties Prepare, analyze, and deliver accurate internal management and external regulatory financial reports Evaluate financial performance and profitability using accounting, operational, and statistical data Develop financial forecasts, executive presentations, and reporting packages for senior leadership and board-level stakeholders Maintain ownership of the general ledger, chart of accounts, and financial reporting structures Oversee statutory filings and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulations, and reporting deadlines Manage daily activities and priorities for the financial reporting and tax functions Partner with actuarial, accounting, technology, and operational teams to review financial results and improve data integration Identify and implement process improvements that enhance reporting accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls Skills & Experience Required Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field 5+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience 3+ years of experience managing or supervising accounting or finance professionals Experience preparing financial statements under GAAP and statutory insurance accounting standards Working knowledge of statutory accounting principles and life insurance accounting practices Experience evaluating and maintaining internal controls over financial reporting Experience interpreting insurance regulations and supporting regulatory compliance requirements Proficiency with general ledger systems, financial reporting platforms, and Microsoft Office applications MUST have Life Insurance industry experience Financial reporting or accounting experience within the life insurance industry Experience applying life insurance regulatory reporting requirements Experience supporting internal and external audits Experience preparing and presenting financial information to executive or board-level stakeholders Experience implementing financial systems or reporting technology enhancements Experience improving accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency We are an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE) that values merit-based recruitment centered around technical ability, skillset, and alignment with our employing partners. #J-18808-Ljbffr
