Commercial Loan Coordinator

First Federal Savings Bank is expanding our team! We are seeking a diligent and organized Commercial Loan Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide support to our Commercial Loan Officers, manage loan documentation, and ensure smooth loan processing and servicing. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

Assist Commercial Loan Officers in preparing and processing loan applications, renewals, and modifications.

Collect, review, and verify loan documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Coordinate with clients, underwriters, and other departments to gather necessary information and documentation.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date loan files and records in the loan management system.

Assist with the preparation of loan closing documents and coordinate loan closings.

Board closed loans and process file maintenance on the bank's core system.

Monitor loan portfolios and provide ongoing support to commercial loan officers, credit analysts and clients, for covenant tracking, maturities, annual reviews, addressing inquiries and resolving issues.

Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and document management.

Prepare monthly department reports.

Support the Loan Officers in conducting credit analyses and preparing credit memos.

Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to commercial lending.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field preferred.

Previous experience in a banking or financial services environment, preferably in commercial lending, is a plus.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and loan management software.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
