Branding Marketing Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:Support the Kroger Our Brands and Senior Our Brands Managers through the execution and communication of marketing campaigns, budget tracking, and proofing. Responsible for growing Kroger brands like Simple Truth, Private Selection, Kroger, and other in-house product lines, ensuring new products follow brand guardrails and strategy for future growth. Effectively coordinates and implements the branding strategy through cross-functional teamwork and collaboration.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:This position will be required to work at the Kroger Store Support Center 5 days a weekManage the marketing campaign execution process, including details regarding fit with brand strategy, clear benefit communication, timing, documentation, proofing and approvals on assigned brandsMaximize team capacity by organizing documentation and through time managementWork with cross functional teams on new product launches and commercialization plans as well as supporting packaging updates, reformulations, and product improvementsMaintain team updates on status of all current projectsTrack team budgets and expenditures associated with marketing material development and explore potential new processes that could improve efficienciesEnsure brand strategy is translated into marketing and merchandising tactics, working collaboratively with all Cross Functional partnersManage the execution of marketing campaigns and messaging across many different touch points.Must be able to perform essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodationsMINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:4 year degree or equivalent combination of education and experienceDegree in Business, Statistics, Marketing or Economics is desirableProficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)2 + years of retail grocery experience preferred.Knowledge of internet and web-based applicationsStrong organizational and teamwork skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into a deliverable solutionExperience generating detailed reports and delivering a summary of your findings in both spreadsheet and presentation formAbility to adapt to advancing technology and computer solutionsHighly motivated self-starter who can work with minimal supervisionAbility to build and maintain positive and productive business relationships with users and team membersAbility to communicate effectively with all levels of an audience, from senior level executives to business usersAbility to prioritize and multi-taskMINIMUM PHYSICAL ABILITIES:Must be able to:remain standing/sitting for several hours at a timelift 10-15 lbs. occasionallyDESIRED PREVIOUS JOB EXPERIENCE:Brand Building & Shopper Marketing DevelopmentConsumer packaged goods (CPG) experienceFinancial Analysis and AssessmentKroger Brand/Private Label Systems KnowledgeCOMPETENCIES/SKILLS:Some of the Competencies/Skills required to successfully perform this position are:Adaptability – maintaining effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work tasks or the work environment; adjusting effectively to work within new work structures, processes, requirements or culturesBuilding Strategic Working Relationships – developing and using collaborative relationships with Merchandising Managers, Account Managers, Analysts, ASP’s, Vendors, CSM Teams and Category Managers to facilitate the accomplishment of work goalsBuilding Trust – interacting with Kroger suppliers and employees in a way that gives Kroger management confidence in one’s intentions and those of the organizationCommunication – clearly conveying information and ideas through a variety of media to Kroger and P.L.
