Qualifications Deep understanding of the product flow Ability to understand and navigate the HMI at a high level Can explain the bottle conveyor flow using the HMI or on the floor with the equipment High technical and mechanical aptitudes Open schedule and willing to take calls and assist at all hours including night shift Driven to learn and improve operations and efficiencies Someone who is willing to stay in packaging long‑term Excellent problem‑solving skills Ability to work with other individuals and contribute to team success An understanding or desire to learn Mechatronics Ability to troubleshoot 90%+ of technical issues, create new recipes, develop SOPs, training material, schedule training, PM guidelines, and PM schedule The appropriate candidate should have experience running the equipment as an operator and show proficiency in the daily operations of all packaging equipment The technician also requires a strong mechanical background and an excellent understanding of packaging Responsibilities LOTO and risk assessments Identify and communicate material defects Follow quality issues to completion Own and update all equipment documentation and procedures (CL, CILs, recipes) Write equipment‑specific PM procedures, track completions, update procedure and frequencies as necessary Track the life cycle of equipment‑specific parts and track inventory and order parts as needed Navigate and adjust HMI settings as needed Communicate cross‑functionally with operators, leadership, engineering, CI, vendors and Krones Primary troubleshooting resource for equipment – participates in RCAs Disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment components Prioritize, schedule, and communicate any projects and maintenance of equipment to leadership and affected departments Lead rebuilds and maintenance initiatives Create and modify product recipes as needed Support equipment‑specific trials Gather, analyze, and communicate equipment‑specific data Skills / Qualifications Required To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be able to operate the equipment effectively after the appropriate break‑in period. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Must possess or be able to use HMI (human machine interface) devices and understand process trending and SPC (statistical Process Control). Sitting/Standing/Walking/Lifting/Carrying: The Aseptic Bottle Filler Operator stands throughout their shift. The Filler Operator walks on uneven concrete and tile surfaces. The Filler Operator lifts up to 60 pounds on a frequent basis and 80 pounds on an occasional basis. Two or more employees complete lifts of greater than 80 pounds. Pushing/Pulling/Bending/Stooping: The Filler Operator pushes/pulls/pours boxes of caps stacking collapsed boxes on a pallet or recycle container. The Filler Operator pushes/pulls while using brooms, dust mops and brushes during cleanup duties. The Filler Operator bends and stoops occasionally throughout the workday for varying lengths of time. Squatting/Kneeling/Crawling/Twisting/Turning: The Filler Operator may squat to pick up product from the floor, or during various cleanup duties. Occasional slight twisting and turning at the waist when testing product, or when performing responsibilities. Climbing/Balancing/Reaching: Filler Operator steps on and off the filling platform and steps. The Filler Operator reaches below and/or above shoulder level when removing or adding boxes to a pallet or dumping caps into a hopper. Grasping/Manipulation: Frequent use of the hands and fingers is required. Control further processing or delivery of nonconforming product in terms of Food Safety and Quality issues until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
