Our law firm is seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience handling litigation matters from inception through resolution and be comfortable managing an independent caseload while working collaboratively with attorneys, staff, clients, and experts. Personal injury litigation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil litigation matters from case inception through resolution.

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, legal memoranda, and settlement agreements.

• Conduct legal research and develop case strategies.

• Take and defend depositions.

• Attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, settlement conferences, and court appearances.

• Prepare cases for trial, including witness preparation, exhibit organization, and trial strategy.

• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance carriers.

• Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case status and strategy.

• Work collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.

• Ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

• Active license and good standing with the applicable State Bar.

• 3 to 10 years of civil litigation experience preferred.

• Strong legal writing, analytical, negotiation, and advocacy skills.

• Experience handling depositions, motion practice, discovery, and court appearances.

• Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and client relationship skills.

• Personal injury litigation experience is a plus.
