Commercial & Construction Litigation Attorney Requirements & Qualifications

Active Florida Bar license in good standing
7+ years of litigation experience
Experience with commercial litigation matters
Experience handling construction litigation cases
Construction contract drafting experience strongly preferred
Strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills
Proven experience with depositions and motion practice
Ability to independently manage litigation caseload
Excellent client communication and relationship management skills

Commercial & Construction Litigation Attorney Preferred Background & Skills

Experience with construction defect litigation
Background in business litigation or real estate litigation
Familiarity with contract disputes and trial preparation
Exposure to complex civil litigation and courtroom practice

Commercial & Construction Litigation Attorney Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Manage commercial and construction litigation matters from inception through resolution
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses
Conduct depositions, witness examinations, and motion hearings
Draft and negotiate construction contracts
Develop litigation strategies and case evaluations
Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations
Communicate directly with clients, experts, and opposing counsel
Collaborate with partners on complex construction and business disputes
