ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Technical Producer to join the Clockwork Revolution production team. In this role, you will be the production backbone for our Engineering and UI/UX disciplines - keeping complex technical workstreams organized, unblocked, and moving forward. You will partner closely with engineers and UI/UX designers and artists to coordinate day-to-day efforts across bug triage, performance and scalability, engine development, and tools development.

This is a hands-on production role that requires someone who thrives in a technical environment, communicates clearly across disciplines, and has a genuine passion for making game development run smoothly. You will report directly to the Senior Producer and be a key contributor to a team that takes great pride in crafting deeply engaging RPG experiences.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Engineering & Technical Coordination

• Serve as the dedicated producer for Engineering sub-teams, including Bug Triage, Performance/Scalability, Engine Development, and Tools Development.
• Organize, coordinate, and track work across all technical areas of responsibility, ensuring alignment between teams and project goals.
• Facilitate regular bug triage sessions - prioritizing, assigning, and tracking issues to resolution in collaboration with leads.
• Partner with performance and scalability teams to track optimization targets, surface blockers, and communicate status to the Senior Producer.
• Support engine and tools development teams by maintaining clear visibility into backlog health, priorities, and delivery timelines.

UI/UX Coordination

• Work closely with the UI/UX team to coordinate feature delivery, design reviews, and integration touchpoints with Engineering.
• Track UI/UX tasks and deliverables in Jira, flagging risks and ensuring cross-discipline dependencies are visible and managed.
• Bridge communication between UI/UX designers and engineering implementers to reduce friction and keep work flowing.

Production & Project Management

• Build and maintain clear, prioritized schedules for all teams under your purview, proactively managing risks to milestone deliverables.
• Create, assign, and track tasks in Jira - ensuring tickets are well-defined, up to date, and accurately reflect team status.
• Lead sprint planning sessions for your teams, including backlog grooming, sprint goal definition, and retrospectives.
• Perform capacity planning for each team, accounting for planned absences, contractor availability, and shifting project priorities.
• Identify and help remove development roadblocks and bottlenecks, escalating appropriately to the Senior Producer.
• Communicate project status clearly and consistently to the Senior Producer and relevant stakeholders across all areas of responsibility.
• Collaborate with other Producers and discipline leads to optimize cross-team workflows and development processes.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• 2-5 years of hands-on production experience working with internal game development teams.
• Strong command of Jira for task creation, sprint management, backlog grooming, and reporting - this is a day-to-day tool for this role.
• Demonstrated experience building and maintaining production schedules and tracking delivery against milestones.
• Experience with sprint-based / Agile development methodologies and successfully applying them in a game or software development context.
• Experience with large, AAA teams and/or distributed or remote development environments.
• Excellent communicator - comfortable interfacing with engineers, designers, and leadership alike.
• Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
• Ability to effectively and constructively partner with a diverse group of personalities and working styles.

NICE TO HAVE

• Technical background or prior experience working directly with engineering or QA teams (CS degree, prior QA/engineering role, or equivalent).
• Familiarity with game engine workflows - especially Unreal Engine - and an understanding of how engine and tools pipelines affect content development.
• Experience coordinating UI/UX teams in a game development context.
• Familiarity with performance profiling and optimization pipelines.
• Multiple shipped products as a producer or associate producer.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards and/or user research testing processes.
