This is a fully remote contract opportunity with potential to convert to FTE! About the position: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence tools, with a particular focus on Power BI, Splunk, and other data mining services. This role will involve developing and maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs) for system status, managing SharePoint governance, and ensuring the efficient use of M365 tools. Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Developer or similar role. Proficiency in Power BI, Splunk, and other data mining tools and services. Strong knowledge of PowerShell scripting and M365 tools. Understanding of cloud computing platforms such as Azure. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Power BI Reporting: Develop, maintain, and optimize Power BI reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making across the organization. Data Mining: Utilize various data mining tools and services, including but not limited to Splunk, SQL databases, and cloud-based data warehouses, to extract, analyze, and interpret large datasets, identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies to support business objectives. KPI Development: Create and monitor KPIs to track system performance and status, ensuring timely identification and resolution of issues. SharePoint Governance: Take a holistic approach to SharePoint governance by creating and implementing automated operational tasks such as site retirement and follow-up processes. This includes connecting with responsible parties to determine if sites and services are still needed, and ensuring inactive sites are efficiently managed or decommissioned. PowerShell Scripting: Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate tasks, streamline processes, and enhance the functionality of M365 tools. M365 Expertise: Leverage the full suite of M365 tools to support business intelligence initiatives, including data integration, collaboration, and communication.
