Job Title: Production Supervisor

Job Description

• The Production Supervisor oversees shift operations in a high-volume automotive manufacturing and assembly environment, with a strong focus on safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement
• Reporting to the Production Manager, this role leads Production Team Leaders and Production Team Associates, ensuring standardized work, effective training, and continuous improvement across all production activities

Job Responsibilities

• Plan, assign, direct, and coordinate day-to-day activities for Production Team Leaders and Production Team Associates to meet production targets and customer requirements
• Assist the Production Manager in determining and managing appropriate manpower levels to support efficient and effective shift operations
• Train new and transferred employees on job duties and responsibilities, and support cross-training to build a flexible and knowledgeable workforce
• Ensure all employees consistently follow standardized work processes, rotation schedules, and established production procedures
• Track and report daily production performance, analyze results, and drive improvements where necessary to enhance output and efficiency
• Work to improve first-run capabilities by identifying recurring issues, determining root causes, and implementing corrective actions
• Lead and participate in process improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, ergonomics, and operational efficiency
• Ensure strict adherence to all company policies, procedures, plant standards, and safety rules across the shift

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of three (3) years of recent automotive experience in a Production Supervisor role
• Minimum of two (2) years of production supervisory experience or a minimum of five (5) years of team leadership experience in an automotive manufacturing facility
• Proven experience supervising production teams in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing or assembly environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong leadership abilities with demonstrated experience guiding and motivating teams

This is a Permanent position based out of Detroit, MI.

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $36.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Detroit,MI.
