Job Description
This role supports the operations maintenance team by installing, maintaining, and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment, including material handling and pneumatic systems. You will focus on keeping high-speed, robotics-driven conveyor and material handling systems operating safely and efficiently through predictive and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, repair, and maintain material handling equipment such as automated conveyor systems.
- Perform predictive and preventative maintenance routines on material handling, robotic, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
- Complete all preventative maintenance documentation, including PM sheets, checklists, and related reports accurately and on time.
- Perform battery changes and conduct preventative maintenance on industrial batteries and related equipment.
- Enter downtime data and maintenance activities into daily logs to ensure accurate tracking of equipment performance.
- Create, manage, and close work orders within a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Troubleshoot and identify root causes of equipment issues across electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics to diagnose and repair system faults.
- Apply electrical and electronic principles to repair and optimize automated conveyor systems and controls.
- Follow and demonstrate established safety standards and procedures during all maintenance activities.
- Track, store, and organize department inventory, including spare parts and critical components.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance team members to minimize downtime and support production goals.
- Work with PLC-based control systems and robotic equipment to support operation, diagnostics, and maintenance activities.
- Adhere to material handling equipment (MHE) safety standards in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) requirements and internal safety policies.
- At least 2+ years of experience conducting quality predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
- 2+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment (MHE) or automated conveyor systems and controls.
- 2+ years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints and electrical schematics.
- 2+ years of knowledge and hands-on experience with electrical and electronic principles.
- 2+ years of experience following and demonstrating safety standards in an industrial or maintenance environment.
- 1+ year of experience troubleshooting and diagnosing MHE systems.
- 1+ year of experience using Microsoft Office products and applications.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
- Experience working with automated conveyor systems and material handling equipment.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or industrial environments performing maintenance on complex systems and industrial equipment.
- Hands-on experience running diagnostics, inspections, troubleshooting, repairing, and creating work orders for conveyors and other MHE, including controls and robotics.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions of building operations systems.
- Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage work orders and maintenance records.
- Continuous improvement mindset with a desire to learn and grow within a reliability and maintenance engineering environment.
- Experience with MHE safety standards in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and internal safety standards.
- Associate degree or higher from a vocational school or college with a focus in mechanical or electrical fields.
- 2+ years of apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the mechanical or electrical field.
- 2+ years of experience working with PLC-based control systems.
- Experience with robotic operation and maintenance in a high-speed automated environment.

Work Environment
You will work in a large, high-speed distribution facility equipped with advanced automation and robotic material handling systems, including extensive conveyor networks and related controls. The environment is fast-paced and performance is tracked through data and metrics to ensure expectations are clear and productivity remains high, without day-to-day micromanagement. The role is physically active and requires comfort with walking significant distances throughout the shift—approximately 10,000 steps per day—and safely handling loads up to 49 pounds. All positions follow a 10-hour shift structure, and candidates must be open to working any shift based on operational needs. You will regularly use tools, test equipment, CMMS software, and standard office applications while working around industrial machinery, conveyors, robotics, and pneumatic systems in a safety-focused setting.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.50 - $32.50/hr.
