Systems Engineer

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is currently looking for a Systems Engineer to join the Multi Domain Datalinks Systems Engineering Department to support the Air Traffic Navigation, Integration, and Coordination System (ATNAVICS). The selected candidate will play a key role in supporting all contracts associated with the ATNAVICS program. These contracts encompass sustainment efforts for the US military as well as production obligations for an international contract. This position presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and maintenance of crucial navigation systems serving both domestic and international needs.

The ideal candidate for this position should be familiar with both front end and back end systems engineering activities. They should feel comfortable creating requirements, performing systems integration, gaining hands-on experience in both the lab and the field, and creating system engineering documentation.

What You Will Do

1. Define and derive systems engineering requirements, including interface definitions and requirement verification and validation
2. Support operations concept definition and procedure planning, collaborating with personnel from various organizations
3. Address customer issues by developing system and product level requirements, ensuring solutions meet their needs
4. Develop and implement test plans, procedures, integration, and verification documentation and perform testing
5. Systems sustainment activities for legacy radar systems, to involve troubleshooting, documenting, and testing
6. Occasional travel to other locations

Qualifications You Must Have

• Experience generating and delivering technical documentation to stakeholders, including creating, reviewing, and updating system engineering artifacts
• Experience with writing requirements and requirements management software (DOORS, Cameo, etc.)
• Experience with developing and writing qualification test procedures and test reports
• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience with IBM DOORs
• Experience supporting a Department of Defense (DoD) government contract
• Experience working in small teams to achieve program cost and schedule objectives
• Experience with both waterfall and Agile Development Processes
• Radar domain experience

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
