Job Title Marketing Associate, The WSJ Leadership Institute Location New York, NY Overview The Marketing Associate will join an entrepreneurial team that supports the growth, engagement, and retention of multiple C‑level communities within The WSJ Leadership Institute. In this role, you’ll help create, run, and manage exclusive membership groups that convene the world’s leading C‑Suite executives, politicians, industry experts, and vertical business communities. Responsibilities include event and membership recruitment, supporting and attending in‑person events, managing email communications, and coordinating with various stakeholders to provide an optimal experience for our members. Responsibilities Execute multi‑channel campaign plans to drive membership acquisition, engagement, and retention across email, digital media, social, print, and partnerships. Proactively analyze in‑cycle campaigns, identify tactics that are working, and propose improvements. Collaborate with Product and Brand teams on creative assets and work with the internal design team to continuously innovate. Serve as a white‑glove point of contact for members by working closely with Council Managers, optimizing the member experience, managing inquiries, and troubleshooting requests. Take ownership of updates to marketing websites, ensuring all pages reflect current propositions and event details. Identify and engage key partners, including industry associations, membership organizations, and media partners. Own the narrative derived from marketing data to influence other departments and drive product forward. Provide on‑site event support at key annual events. Handle purchase orders and invoices related to marketing campaigns. Develop and maintain dashboards/reports that summarize campaign performance across predetermined KPIs/metrics, share topline numbers weekly with management, measure and manage campaign costs and ROI, identify actions to improve performance, and produce post‑event reporting. Qualifications 0–2 years of marketing experience, ideally in B2B, publishing, events, media, or an equivalent agency role. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience. Understanding of subscription/membership models and direct marketing experience is desirable. Demonstrated experience with multi‑channel campaign management, planning, and execution. Ability to maintain efficient and effective working relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with very strong interpersonal skills. Data‑driven mindset combined with a passion for creativity and forward‑thinking flair. Strong analytical approach with a drive to accurately report against KPIs and goals. Strong sense of responsibility for initiatives and a positive can‑do attitude at all times. Experience embracing and driving change in a pacy environment. Familiarity with marketing tools and platforms such as CVENT, WordPress, Salesforce, Tableau, Asana, and Google Drive. Keen, professional, and polished customer‑facing attitude. Desire to focus on automation and efficiency through AI systems. Benefits & Compensation Base Pay Range: $55,000 – $70,000.
