Warehouse Clerk

Location: Irvington, NJ

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Position Overview

We are looking for a dependable warehouse professional who is comfortable working on a computer as well as supporting day-to-day warehouse operations. This is not a traditional office position. The ideal candidate will have previous warehouse experience and understand shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse documentation while also being comfortable handling data entry, spreadsheets, and communication with drivers and team members.

This role is a great fit for someone who has worked in a warehouse environment and is ready to take on more responsibility supporting the operational side of the business.

Responsibilities

• Enter shipping and receiving information into company systems.
• Process shipping slips, delivery paperwork, and warehouse documentation.
• Maintain and update Excel spreadsheets with shipment and inventory information.
• Coordinate with drivers, warehouse personnel, and office staff regarding deliveries and shipments.
• Verify paperwork for accuracy and ensure records are properly maintained.
• Assist with inventory tracking and reporting.
• Support warehouse operations by helping resolve paperwork and shipment discrepancies.
• Answer phone calls, emails, and communicate updates to customers, vendors, and team members as needed.
• Spend time both in the warehouse and at a computer workstation throughout the day.
• Perform other warehouse support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, inventory, or logistics experience required.
• Comfortable working with computers and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong data entry and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and process shipping documents and warehouse paperwork.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Experience using warehouse management systems or inventory software is a plus.
