Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess each patient's physical condition and functional capabilities, ensuring accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning.
• Create and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, with techniques including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and the application of modalities such as heat and electrical stimulation.
• Provide hands-on therapy and constant assessment of treatment efficacy, making real-time adjustments to enhance progress.
• Educate patients and their families about rehabilitation processes, injury prevention, and maintenance of physical health outside of therapy sessions.
• Track and document patient progress meticulously to validate treatment strategies and facilitate communication with other healthcare professionals involved in patient care.
• Engage in continuous collaboration with colleagues, specialists, and support staff to coordinate comprehensive patient care, focusing on multidisciplinary treatment approaches.
• Stay informed on advancements in the field of physical therapy to apply best practices and innovative techniques in daily treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Flex & Move Therapy, you will work with a diverse range of patients, from those suffering from acute post-surgical care to chronic musculoskeletal conditions such as back and neck pain, arthritis, tendonitis, and balance disorders. Each patient presents unique challenges that require tailored rehabilitation strategies, giving you the opportunity to employ a thorough and patient-centered approach to therapy.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required. A Master's degree will be considered an asset.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Nevada is essential.
• Board certification by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) is mandatory.
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience in an outpatient setting is required, demonstrating exposure to a variety of therapeutic techniques and patient Conditions.
• Strong understanding of assessment tools and treatment modalities relevant to physical therapy, ensuring up-to-date practice.
• Bona fide analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills to foster effective communication and rapport with patients and their families.

Preferred Experience

While our minimum experience requirement is one year, candidates with additional years of outpatient physical therapy experience will be preferred. Experience with modern technology and electronic health record (EHR) systems will also be advantageous, enabling effective patient documentation and tracking.
