Regulatory Counsel - Global Asset Manager

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who began their career at a law firm advising investment managers on private funds, fund formation, or investment management matters before transitioning into an in-house or consulting compliance role. The team is looking for someone who still enjoys working closely with legal documentation and can confidently review fund formation materials while partnering with the business on broader regulatory matters. You'll work across Legal, Compliance, Product and Investment teams, providing practical advice throughout the lifecycle of private investment products while helping ensure the firm's regulatory framework evolves alongside the business. What you’ll be doing Review and advise on private fund documentation, including PPMs, LPAs, subscription agreements and related offering materials. Partner with Legal, Product and Compliance teams on new fund launches and product enhancements. Interpret and advise on U.S. regulatory requirements impacting private funds and investment advisers. Provide regulatory guidance to senior stakeholders across investment, distribution and operations teams. Review marketing and investor communications from a regulatory perspective. Assist with regulatory change management and implementation of new requirements. Support examinations, regulatory inquiries and internal governance initiatives. Work closely with external counsel where appropriate while acting as a trusted internal adviser. We’re looking for someone who has J.D. and active U.S. bar admission. Experience as an attorney within an investment management or financial services practice at a law firm. Subsequent experience in an in‑house compliance or regulatory advisory role, or with a leading consulting firm. Strong understanding of private funds and investment adviser regulation. Hands‑on experience reviewing fund formation documents such as PPMs, LPAs and subscription documentation. Ability to balance legal analysis with practical commercial advice.
