What You Will Do

• Provide social work services to patients and their families, addressing their emotional, social, and practical needs.
• Assess and intervene in situations involving illness, handicaps, death, and loss to improve patient care and staff effectiveness.
• Utilize knowledge of medical procedures, terminology, etiology, and disease processes to support the client population.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans that meet the holistic needs of patients.

Qualifications

Required

Qualifications

• Masters of Social Work degree.
• Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW) in the State of Michigan.

Preferred

Qualifications

• ACSW certification.
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting.
