Director of Accounting

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Director of Accounting to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $170,000 to $210,000 per year. Job Responsibilities Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger activities, cash management, payables, receivables, and payroll functions. Lead month end close processes and ensure accurate preparation of financial statements, management reports, and performance analyses. Review account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial data to maintain the accuracy and integrity of accounting records. Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial reporting activities to support business decisions. Partner with auditors, operational leaders, and executive management to support compliance, reporting, and strategic initiatives. Requirements A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. 5+ of progressive accounting leadership experience, preferably within hospitality, entertainment, or service based environments. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and general accounting principles. Previous experience with accounting software, financial systems, and advanced Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work flexible schedules, including occasional travel and extended hours when business needs require. Qualifications Strong leadership skills with experience developing, mentoring, and managing accounting staff. Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities with the capacity to evaluate complex financial information. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and meeting deadlines. Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build relationships across departments.
