Work Environment

This full-time position offers flexible scheduling options to accommodate clients’ needs, including evenings and weekends. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, social workers, and peer support specialists, ensuring an integrated approach to treatment that addresses both mental health and substance use disorders. The clinic is designed to promote a serene and clinically effective atmosphere, favoring recovery and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and screenings to evaluate clients’ substance abuse histories, mental health conditions, and personal needs.
• Develop comprehensive and individualized treatment plans that specifically address both addiction and any co-occurring mental health issues.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary team members to ensure consistent and holistic care for each client.
• Provide educational support for clients’ families to foster involvement in the recovery process, enhancing the support system for clients.
• Maintain meticulous and accurate records in accordance with regulations and organizational policies to track client progress and treatment efficacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our center primarily serves individuals grappling with substance use disorders, including alcohol and drug addiction. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds and often face additional challenges related to mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, or trauma. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by providing tailored care that meets the varying needs of this population.

Qualifications

• A valid license as LMFT, LPC, LCSW, or PsyD is required.
• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is necessary for this position.
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices, particularly in the fields of addiction counseling and co-occurring disorders.
• Proven therapeutic and counseling skills, with a passion for motivating clients towards recovery.
• Excellent communication skills to foster effective collaboration with patients, families, and team members.

Preferred Experience

• Specialized training or direct experience in addiction counseling is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and clinical documentation practices is a plus.
• Prior experience working in a community health clinic or similar setting is beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, based on experience and educational background.
