Key Responsibilities

• Conduct trauma-informed mental health assessments that evaluate each patient’s trauma history in order to inform effective treatment strategies.
• Develop, implement, and regularly review individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and resilience enhancement.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to the specific needs of each client.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients as they process their trauma, develop coping mechanisms, and embark on paths toward healing.
• Work in collaboration with psychiatrists and other multi-disciplinary team members to provide holistic support and integrated care to our clients.
• Offer crisis intervention services and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring that patients feel secure and cared for at critical moments.
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping strategies, and available resources to foster understanding and support.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient progress while adhering to all legal and ethical guidelines, ensuring privacy and accuracy.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by attending case consultations, team workshops, and staying informed with the latest research in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on individuals who are navigating the sometimes overwhelming impacts of trauma. You will work with patients who have experienced a range of traumatic events, ensuring that your therapeutic practices are grounded in trauma-informed care principles. Your role will specifically address the unique needs of those dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders, making your expertise crucial to their recovery process.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Colorado.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a relevant clinical setting, particularly with trauma-focused therapies.
• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and various trauma-informed treatment modalities.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering therapeutic interventions that focus on trauma recovery and resilience.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach to treatment.
• Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations and work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and related software tools.

Preferred Experience

While two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, candidates with extensive internship or volunteer experience in trauma-focused care will be considered. Experience working with diverse populations and understanding various cultural contexts will also be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits
