Contract | Night Shift (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) serving adult patients (18 years and older) across a 64-bed unit, including 15 designated neurology beds
• Manage patients with common diagnoses including neurological conditions, cardiac events (MI, CV stepdown), trauma, respiratory conditions (COPD), DKA, and sepsis
• Operate and monitor specialty equipment including temporary pacers, chest tubes, arterial lines, BiPAP, and chronic ventilators (with Respiratory Therapy support for vent-dependent patients)
• Float to other units as required based on staffing and patient census needs
• Accurately document all patient care activities and assessments using EPIC EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an IMCU, PCU, or Stepdown unit
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Proficiency with EPIC Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience documented on resume
• Experience with specialty equipment including temporary pacers, chest tubes, arterial lines, BiPAP, and mechanical ventilators
• Familiarity with neurological, cardiac, and post-operative patient populations
