6:30 PM to 7:00 AM (Night shift)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU), focusing on patients with neurological, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory issues. The nurse will work closely with chronic vent patients and utilize specialty equipment such as temp pacers, chest tubes, and Bipap.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and coordinate care for patients in the IMCU.
• Monitor patient vitals and changes in condition.
• Administer medications according to physician orders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Document patient care and updates accurately in the EMR system using EPIC.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in IMCU/PCU.
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Active NY RN license; NURSYS report required.
• Experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC.
• Must be willing to float as required.
