CNC Operator – PCB Manufacturing

Location: Addison, IL

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator with experience in the printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will operate CNC drilling, routing, milling, or profiling equipment to produce high-quality PCB components while meeting production schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines used in PCB manufacturing, including drilling, routing, milling, and profiling equipment.
Load materials, tooling, drill bits, panels, and programs according to production instructions.
Read and follow work orders, technical drawings, blueprints, setup sheets, and process documentation.
Inspect completed boards and panels for dimensions, hole quality, routing accuracy, defects, and conformance to specifications.
Perform basic machine adjustments, tool changes, offsets, and minor troubleshooting.
Maintain accurate production, inspection, and machine records.
Follow ESD, clean-room, safety, quality, and housekeeping procedures.
Work with production, quality, engineering, and maintenance teams to meet daily output goals.

Required Qualifications

Experience operating CNC machines in PCB, electronics, precision manufacturing, or a similar environment.
Familiarity with CNC drilling, routing, milling, or profiling processes.
Ability to read work instructions, drawings, and technical documentation.
Experience using measuring and inspection tools, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, or vision inspection equipment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Basic computer and data-entry skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Direct PCB fabrication or PCB assembly experience.
Experience with CNC drill/routing machines, laser drilling, panel processing, or automated optical inspection.
Knowledge of IPC standards, PCB materials, multilayer boards, and ESD procedures.
Experience with machine setup, tooling selection, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.
