Are you energetic and enjoy working in a team environment?  At Yingst Building Group, we are looking for an energetic Sr Accountant that enjoys learning all aspects of the business and the unique accounting challenges that follow. 

In this role, you’ll do more than book transactions — you’ll be part of a team that works together to complete goals and learns from each other. You’ll gain experience in cash management, Management fee calculations, and intercompany consolidations. 

What You’ll Do

• Assist the accounting manager with the monthly close process.
• Daily cash reconciliation of transactions through automated bank feeds.
• Track and reconcile intercompany transactions.
• Recording settlement entries for home closings.
• Record land purchase and deposits to projects. 
• Track land holdings and Fair Market Value.
• Completing job cost analysis and booking job cost accruals.
• Reconcile multiple balance sheet accounts monthly to include identifying and booking corrective entries for any variances.
• Maintain a schedule of Fixed Assets and Right of Use assets.
• Assist with booking Accounts Payable transactions as needed. 
• Create progress billing statements for Construction Loans and Remodeling contracts. 
• Review monthly financial statements and investigate any budget or trend variances.
• Utilize technology to drive efficiencies.
• Complete other ad hoc task and analysis assigned.

What We’re Looking For

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Two to Three years’ experience in accounting or finance
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Prior building experience and construction knowledge are a plus, but not required
• Experience with Sage Intacct, Builder Trend, and BuildTopia are a plus, but not required
