Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their growing finance team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong technical accounting knowledge, leadership skills, and experience managing full-cycle accounting processes. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in financial reporting, month-end close, treasury management, budgeting, and process improvements while supporting the continued growth of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and perform income statement variance analysis.
• Analyze operating expenses and support budgeting and forecasting.
• Oversee treasury activities, including cash flow monitoring and bank reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, revenue recognition, lease accounting, and internal controls.
• Review accounts payable processes, invoice approvals, credit card transactions, and general ledger coding.
• Coordinate quarterly and annual financial statement reporting and work with external auditors.
• Identify accounting issues, investigate discrepancies, and recommend solutions.
• Develop and improve accounting processes through automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor and support accounting staff while fostering professional development.
• Assist with additional accounting projects as business needs evolve.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA or Master's degree preferred.
• 7–10 years of progressive full-cycle accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.
• Experience with payroll systems and multi-state tax compliance; ADP experience is a plus.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial systems proficiency.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
