Surgical Support Aide

The Surgical Support Aide plays a vital role in surgical services, assisting in various tasks to ensure efficient operation in a surgical environment. This position is crucial for maintaining the overall integrity and cleanliness of surgical areas while supporting patient care procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of surgical rooms.
• Transport patients as needed within the facility.
• Lifting and transporting heavy items related to surgical processes.
• Perform cleaning and turnover of operating rooms after procedures.
• Support the surgical team in various capacities during procedures.

This position requires working the 3rd shift from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Training will occur during the first three weeks, where the specific shift will be 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM to familiarize the individual with the unit.

Qualifications include:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS certification is a must.
• Minimum of one year of customer service experience is required.

The role requires the ability to lift and transport heavy items and assist in patient mobility, ensuring a safe environment for both patients and staff.
