Make a meaningful impact in the school community by providing speech-language services to students in a nurturing, collaborative environment. This contract opportunity is available on a full-time preferred (part-time considered) basis, with placement through June 25, 2026. Here, you’ll be instrumental in helping students overcome communication barriers, working closely with educators, families, and service teams to deliver effective support.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Valid NYS SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
• TSSLD (Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities) credential, or eligibility as required
• Experience in educational settings, providing both direct and consultation speech-language services preferred
• Strong understanding of IDEA and NYS special education regulations

Key Responsibilities:

• Screen, assess, and evaluate students with speech, language, articulation, fluency, and related needs using a mix of formal and informal tools
• Interpret assessment data, gather case histories, and observe students across educational environments
• Collaborate as a member of CSE/CPSE, contributing insights for eligibility, IEP development, annual reviews, and updates
• Deliver engaging evidence-based therapy—individual, small group, push-in/pull-out, and consultative models—tailored to diverse student needs
• Develop, adapt, and embed communication strategies in classroom routines and daily school activities
• Consult and train teachers, staff, and families on effective accommodations and language supports
• Maintain detailed, compliant records and prepare timely evaluation and progress reports
• Ensure compliance with state/federal regulations and professional standards
