Property Porter - Multifamily Assistant Technician Job Openings Property Porter - Multifamily Assistant Technician About the job Property Porter - Multifamily Assistant Technician Position Overview: We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Multifamily Porter. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the physical condition of new rental units meets company standards, performing various maintenance tasks including tile installation, sheet rock and drywall repairs, painting touch-ups, carpet patching or replacement, and assisting the maintenance team as needed. Effective communication and organizational skills are essential for updating the Service Manager on progress and addressing any unsafe conditions promptly. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure the physical condition of new rental units meets company standards. Install tile and perform minor sheet rock and drywall repairs. Touch-up paint to maintain the aesthetic appeal of the property. Patch, repair, or replace carpet as necessary. Assist other maintenance team members when required. Maintain awareness of property condition and address any unsafe conditions immediately. Schedule and perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment as directed. Diagnose and perform minor or routine maintenance or repairs as directed. Transfer appliances and equipment from storage to apartments as needed. Assist in moving abandoned furniture, appliances, etc., to the dumpster. What You'll Need to Succeed: Clear understanding of business concepts, processes, and strategic thinking principles. Ability to access all apartment homes and community areas for various tasks. Proficiency in maintenance tasks including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, painting, drywall, buffing, waxing, and use of power tools. Strong communication skills in English (reading, writing, speaking, and listening). Must provide own tools where applicable. 1-3 years of experience in Property Management. HVAC certification preferred. High School Diploma or GED required.
