As a Contracts Manager, you will support our commercial and contracts team in the administrative and coordination aspects of construction and development projects. Working under close supervision, you will help maintain contract files, assist with routine documentation, and learn the fundamentals of contract administration and commercial management. Your attention to detail, willingness to learn, and commitment to following established procedures will help you develop a strong foundation for a career in commercial management while supporting our culture of excellence and client service.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Assisting in maintaining contract files, records, and documentation according to established filing procedures
• Helping prepare routine contract documents such as purchase orders, subcontracts, and standard amendments under direct supervision
• Supporting the organization and distribution of contract correspondence, notices, and submittals to project stakeholders
• Learning to review contract documents for completeness and accuracy with guidance from senior team members
• Assisting in tracking contract milestones, key dates, and renewal deadlines using standard templates and checklists
• Helping log and track change orders, variations, and scope modifications in tracking systems
• Supporting the collection and organization of payment applications, invoices, and supporting documentation
• Assisting in data entry for commercial tracking systems and maintaining organized cost records
• Helping compile documentation and information related to project issues or potential claims under supervision
• Providing administrative support for contract meetings, including scheduling, preparing materials, and taking notes
• Supporting the preparation of routine contract status reports using standard templates
• Assisting in tracking contract compliance requirements, insurance certificates, and required documentation
• Helping maintain contact lists and communication logs for contractors, consultants, and clients
• Learning basic principles of contract administration, commercial processes, and construction terminology through on-the-job training

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, Real Estate, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
• 0-1 year prior professional experience
• Basic understanding of construction or real estate industry is helpful but not required
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to maintain accurate records
• Good written and verbal communication skills for routine business correspondence
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to follow established procedures and take direction from supervisors
• Willingness to learn and develop knowledge of contract administration and commercial management
• Ability to manage straightforward tasks with supervision and meet deadlines
• Professional demeanor and ability to work collaboratively with team members

Preferred qualifications:

• Internship or co-op experience in construction, real estate, contract administration, or related field
• Coursework in construction management, contract law, project management, or business administration
• Basic familiarity with construction terminology or contract documents through academic study
• Exposure to document management systems or project management software
• Interest in pursuing professional development in contract management or quantity surveying
• Experience with administrative support, document organization, or record-keeping in any professional setting
• Basic understanding of business documents and standard contracting processes

Expected compensation for this position:

54,700.00 – 79,400.00 USD per year

Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
