RN GIG - Flex - Per Diem - PRN - Mercy Jefferson and Surrounding Communities

Overview Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. Position Details Job type: PRN/Per Diem/Flex/Float Availability: various shifts Shifts: 4, 8, or 12 hour shifts with 30 hour max per week (Sun‑Sat) Minimum commitment: 12 hours every 90 days Incentives: $40/hour + variable shift incentive Employment status: W-2 employee Preferred qualifications: participation in Gig Nursing Program requires scheduling a minimum number of hours, being available on short notice, and flexibility. Departments Behavioral Health (BH) Emergency Department (ED) Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Medical‑Surgical (MS) Women's Health (L&D, NICU, M&B) Facilities / Locations Mercy St. Louis – St. Louis Mercy Jefferson – Festus Mercy South – South St. Louis County Mercy Washington – Washington Mercy Lincoln – Troy Mercy Perry – Perryville Mercy Southeast – Cape Girardeau Mercy Stoddard – Dexter, MO Qualifications Required education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program. Preferred education: BSN. Licensure: Must obtain and maintain a current RN license in the state of employment or applicable compact licensure. Experience: One year of recent bedside RN experience for Med‑Surg; two years for ED, ICU, etc. Preferred experience: Epic experience. Certifications Med‑Surg, Behavioral Health, Women’s Health (L&D, NICU, M&B): BLS. Critical Care (CC): BLS, ACLS. Emergency Department (ED): BLS, ACLS, & PALS. Physical Requirements Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis; prolonged standing and walking each shift; ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
