UKG Project Manager

• Technically skilled and able to Project Manage across the UKG portfolio of products and has hands-on experience

We are seeking a technically skilled UKG Project Manager with strong hands-on experience across the UKG portfolio of products . The ideal candidate will combine project management expertise with practical UKG technical knowledge and be comfortable working directly with technical, HR, payroll, and business teams.

This role will be responsible for managing UKG-related projects from planning through implementation, coordinating cross-functional teams, managing timelines and dependencies, and ensuring successful delivery of UKG solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage projects across the UKG portfolio of products , from initiation through implementation and stabilization.
• Provide both project management leadership and hands-on technical support for UKG-related initiatives.
• Partner with HR, Payroll, IT, Finance, and other business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Manage project scope, timelines, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and deliverables.
• Coordinate UKG configuration, integrations, testing, data migration, upgrades, enhancements, and implementation activities.
• Work closely with UKG administrators, developers, integration teams, vendors, and business users.
• Track project progress and provide regular status updates to stakeholders and leadership.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation and contingency plans.
• Facilitate project meetings, working sessions, technical discussions, and stakeholder reviews.
• Coordinate UAT, system testing, defect resolution, and production readiness activities.
• Support change management, user adoption, documentation, and training activities as needed.
• Ensure project deliverables meet business requirements, technical standards, and organizational objectives.
• Manage multiple workstreams and priorities while maintaining project schedules and quality.
• Troubleshoot project-related issues and work with technical teams to drive timely resolution.
• Maintain project documentation, status reports, RAID logs, schedules, and implementation plans.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in IT Project Management , preferably supporting HR, payroll, workforce management, or enterprise applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with UKG products/platforms .
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects across multiple UKG products and workstreams.
• Strong understanding of UKG implementations, configurations, integrations, upgrades, and/or enhancements.
• Ability to work hands-on with technical teams and understand UKG-related technical requirements.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams involving business, HR, payroll, IT, and technical resources.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, dependencies, and change control.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working in a remote, distributed team environment .

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with UKG Pro, UKG Ready, UKG Dimensions, or UKG Workforce Management .
• Experience with UKG integrations and interfaces.
• Knowledge of HRIS, payroll, timekeeping, benefits, workforce management, or HCM processes.
• Experience with data migration, system upgrades, testing, and production implementations.
• Familiarity with APIs, web services, integration technologies, or other enterprise application interfaces.
• Experience working with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
• PMP, Scrum Master, or similar project management certification is a plus.
