About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse – PACU (Pediatric)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 4x10-Hour Shifts (8:00 AM – 6:30 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care to pediatric patients in a PACU setting
• Monitor and assess patients during recovery from anesthesia, identifying and responding to changes in condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe patient transitions
• Float to other units or facilities as needed when staffing needs arise and qualifications are met
• Complete required non-billable orientation modules prior to start and annually as required

Required Qualifications

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license – must be in hand prior to start
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Minimum 2 years of Pediatric PACU and/or Pre-Op experience
• Level II Trauma experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Level I Trauma experience
• Teaching hospital experience strongly preferred
