This full-time position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting while being part of our outpatient psychiatry office located in Surprise, Arizona. Work Environment

The outpatient setting allows our therapists to engage with clients through telehealth platforms, enhancing accessibility and convenience. The work schedule is structured from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility required to accommodate the varying needs of patients. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive mental health assessments to understand the unique experiences of each patient, which will guide the development of tailored treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions that consider patients' cultural and personal backgrounds, ensuring effective delivery of care.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions addressing a range of mental health concerns, promoting resilience and coping strategies.
• Collaborate seamlessly with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other health professionals within a multidisciplinary team to provide cohesive and comprehensive care.
• Offer crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, employing strong crisis management skills to stabilize situations.
• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources that can support their journey.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of patient interactions and treatment outcomes, adhering to legal and ethical standards.
• Participate actively in case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing cultural competency training to continually enhance your skills.
• Stay abreast of current research and best practices in mental health therapy, integrating new knowledge into your treatment approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will focus on serving a diverse clientele, providing care to individuals from ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ groups, and immigrant communities who may face unique mental health challenges. By employing culturally responsive therapeutic techniques, you will contribute to breaking down barriers to care and fostering a sense of trust and safety in the therapeutic process.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Possession of a current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Arizona.
• Comprehensive understanding of mental health disorders and effective, evidence-based treatment strategies.
• Proven experience in delivering individual and group therapy with an emphasis on cultural responsiveness.
• Demonstrated crisis intervention abilities, maintaining composure and professionalism in high-pressure situations.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling rapport-building with a diverse population.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications.
• Commitment to ethical guidelines, professional boundaries, and confidentiality in all client interactions.
• Collaborative mindset, ready to engage in teamwork within a multidisciplinary care framework.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting.
• Experience with evidence-based therapeutic modalities and cultural competency in therapeutic settings.
• Familiarity with the particular mental health issues faced by marginalized populations.
