POSITION SUMMARY: Acts as a direct liaison between area hospitals to promote admissions and conducts on site assessments of prospective admissions for appropriateness. Acts as marketing and customer service representative of facility.

TITLE OF IMMEDIATE SUBORDINATES: N/A

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Education / Experience:

· Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Connecticut with at least three (3) years’ experience in an acute care setting or a Licensed Practical Nurse licensed in the state of CT. Long Term Care experience preferred.

· Minimum of two (2) years marketing, admission, and/or clinical evaluator experience.

· Interest in the nursing needs of the chronically and / or acutely ill with knowledge of the affect on the elderly.

· Ability to read, write and comprehend English; ability to follow oral and written instructions. Strong written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills.

· Proficiency with the MS Office suite (e.g., outlook, work, excel).

· Ability to work hours as scheduled based on the requirements of the position assignment.

Working Conditions: Works primarily at area hospitals and referral sources or remote in nursing facilities or office as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

· Successful completion of pre-employment physical.

· Must be able to move intermittently throughout the day, proper body mechanics required - bending, stooping, turning, stretching, and reaching above the shoulders are involved.

· Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics/equipment that will enable these senses to function adequately to assure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.

· Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Conducts and coordinates outside marketing and public relations programs and activities.

2. Develops community and healthcare partnerships and relations as a referral source of admissions and census growth.

3. Works in conjunction/coordination with the Director of Nursing and Administrator to build and maintain census at or above budget.

4. Serves as liaison to hospitals, physicians, case managers, community healthcare facilities and services, families, and residents.

5. May participate in hospital, community and facilities committees that promote marketing and admissions.

6. Represents Atlas - CT facilities at Community functions and meetings to promote facility and services.

7. Maintains knowledge of evolving long term care rules/regulations, CMS-Medicare reimbursement guidelines and participates in facility mandatory in-services.

8. Produces routine and ad hoc reporting according to directives and business needs.

9. Performs other related duties and attends meetings as may be deemed necessary
