Surgical Physician Assistant - CV Surgery (Medical Center)

Job Overview At Houston Methodist, the Surgical Physician Assistant (PA) functions as an advanced practice practitioner maintaining and promoting the health of patients requiring care. The PA practices medicine under the supervision of a licensed physician, providing diagnostic, therapeutic, surgical, and preventative care. The position assists in the global management of patient care in all peri-operative settings, primarily assisting licensed physicians in patient surgery. Work is performed in both inpatient and outpatient settings, and the PA may work independently under a physician’s license or as part of a treatment team. The PA will take call as required and is expected to spend at least 30% of time in the operating room.
