Job Summary The Apprentice Electrician, under the direction of Journeyman Electricians,is responsible forthe installation, start-up, troubleshooting,commissioningand servicing of industrial / commercial electrical equipment and systems. This position willbe responsible forfollowing the directions of the Journeyman Electrician to complete electrical maintenance and repair work. Observe, learn, and understand a wide range of skills and processes under the instruction of a skilled electrician. Demonstrate these skills and processes as on-the-job training progresses by working independently or with others to complete assigned tasks. Learn and understand the importance of safety within the workspace and across projects. Learn about the various tools and materials required for electricians to complete tasks and projects. Maintain good housekeeping and organization in the work area. Properlyutilizethe required tools and equipment for each specific task. Required: Have between 2-4 years (4000-7500 OJT hours) of electrical work experience Strong understanding of the importance of quality work Detail-oriented withstrong communicationskills Ability to communicate effectively with others to promote efficiency Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by anemployee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
