Location: Irvine, CA Irvine Spectrum Area Duration: Long-term temporary role with the possibility of growing temporary-to-hire. Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:30 AM5:00 PM Start/end times may vary slightly based on business needs. Pay: $28$30 per hour, depending on experience Employment Type: Full-Time

A well-established manufacturer and distributor in the Irvine Spectrum area is looking for an experienced Customer Service Representative to join its team. This position is ideal for a customer-focused professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable managing multiple customer orders and priorities at once.

The Customer Service Representative will act as a key point of contact for assigned customers, ensuring orders are processed accurately and that customers receive timely updates regarding pricing, availability, delivery schedules, returns, and other order-related needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for customers through phone, email, in-person communication, and other business communication channels.
• Manage the customer order process from initial entry through fulfillment, ensuring information is accurate and requirements are communicated appropriately.
• Coordinate pricing, product availability, delivery expectations, scheduling, demand requirements, and returns.
• Monitor open orders and proactively follow up on outstanding items, changes, delays, or other issues.
• Develop a strong understanding of individual customer requirements and ensure those expectations are communicated to the appropriate internal departments.
• Respond to customer questions and resolve routine order-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain accurate records and complete administrative tasks associated with customer accounts and orders.
• Coordinate with internal teams to keep customer orders moving efficiently and address potential issues before they impact the customer.
• Use company systems and Microsoft Office applications to document, track, and communicate order information.
• Take on additional customer service and administrative responsibilities as business needs arise.

Position Focus

• Order Processing: Approximately 40%
• Order Follow-Up: Approximately 20%
• Customer Questions & Support: Approximately 15%
• Order-Related Administrative Work: Approximately 15%
• Additional Duties: Approximately 10%

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Approximately 46 years of relevant customer service, order management, customer support, or related experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience working with SAP is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and detailed tasks while maintaining accuracy.
• Comfortable working independently and exercising sound judgment when handling customer and order-related matters.
• Professional and confident telephone communication skills.
• Strong computer and general office skills.
• Spanish-language proficiency is a plus.
• Willingness to travel locally on an occasional, limited basis if required.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or carry items weighing up to 10 pounds.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $28.00 - $30.00
