Production Lead

SUMMARY The Lead is responsible for supervising and leading the department employees and ensuring that there are efficient well-trained processes in place that will ensure quality, on-time and safe output. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include the following duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned. Conducts Root Cause analysis of problems within the department and engages employees in resolution of the problems Drives continuous process improvement Leads employees in department to meet and exceed company goals and objectives. Creates a continuous improvement environment Motivates team members and develops teamwork Drives process improvement and adherence to standards Monitors safety, quality and productivity and makes recommendations for improvements in each of these areas Recognizes and rectify bottleneck situations within the department Provides training resources to ensure that employees within the department are fully trained Records attendance within the electronic system Other duties as assigned Regular attendance is required Star Cases, LLC dba ZERO Manufacturing, maintains a work environment free from discrimination, one where employees are treated with dignity and respect. Ability to solve problems involving several variables in varied situations. The ability and skills to establish and maintain priorities. Familiar with Military Specifications and Standards a plus Must be self-motivated, show initiative and be pro-active Manufacturing experience EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
