Commercial Metal Stud Framer – 3rd Shift
We are currently hiring experienced Commercial Metal Stud Framers for an active construction project in Springdale, Arkansas. We are looking for dependable individuals who have hands-on experience laying out, assembling, and installing light-gauge steel framing for commercial interior and exterior walls.
This is a great opportunity for experienced framers looking for consistent overnight construction work with a professional crew.
Schedule
Sunday–Thursday
8:30 PM–5:00 AM
Location: Springdale, AR
Primary Responsibilities
- Layout and build interior and exterior metal stud walls and partitions
- Measure, cut, position, and secure metal studs and track
- Read and understand construction drawings, blueprints, and measurements
- Properly space, level, plumb, and fasten framing components
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Follow measurements and project specifications accurately
- Assist with material handling and organization of the work area
- Maintain a clean and safe job site
- Work effectively with the onsite foreman and other construction personnel
- Follow all company and job-site safety procedures
Scope of Position
This position is specifically focused on metal stud framing .
The following work is not included in the scope of this position:
- Drywall installation or finishing
- Dropped/suspended ceiling installation
- Bathroom partition installation
- Bathroom accessory installation
Candidates with experience in these areas are welcome to apply, but previous metal stud framing experience is the primary skill we are seeking.
Preferred Experience
Qualified candidates should have experience with one or more of the following:
- Commercial metal stud framing
- Light-gauge steel framing
- Interior wall framing
- Exterior steel framing
- Reading construction blueprints or plans
- Wall layout and measurements
- Cutting and fastening metal studs and track
- Commercial construction environments
- Construction hand and power tools
Required PPE
Employees must have:
- Hard hat
- Safety vest
- Work gloves
- Safety glasses
- Appropriate work shoes or boots
- Long pants
Safety-green company shirts will be provided and are required to be worn while working on the project.
Job-Site Expectations
Candidates must be dependable and able to consistently report to work on time. Employees are expected to:
- Maintain professional and respectful behavior
- Follow instructions from the onsite foreman
- Follow all job-site safety requirements
- Limit personal cell phone use to scheduled breaks
- Communicate immediately with LaborMax and onsite supervision regarding attendance, safety concerns, or job-site issues
- Work effectively as part of a construction team
Ideal Candidate
The strongest candidate will already understand the fundamentals of commercial metal stud framing and be comfortable taking measurements, laying out walls, working from construction plans, and assembling steel framing with limited supervision.
