About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Corporate Accounting to lead and enhance its accounting operations for mortgage loan portfolios and warehouse facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of all accounting activities, including transaction processing, month-end close, and quarterly reporting. This role involves collaborating with finance leadership to improve reporting workflows, implementing process enhancements, and preparing technical accounting memos. The VP will also support internal and external audits, maintain policies and procedures for operational efficiency, and contribute to the development of various reporting packages, including SEC filings. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business, with a CPA certification, and a minimum of 12 years' progressive accounting experience, preferably in the mortgage or securities sector. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, and experience with Workday or similar systems is preferred. The role demands a candidate with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a proven track record of driving change and process improvements within accounting functions. Strong communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
