Safety Specialist

JOB SUMMARY As a Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for the management of safe operations of associate work within a designated client location. Your primary function will be to ensure compliance with safety and industrial regulations—OSHA, Company Safety Procedures, client building safety, HIPAA regulations, and medical care/workers' compensation regulations. In this role you'll take a proactive role in preventing injuries and safety incidents; you'll partner with client managers and internal teams for the health and well‑being of our associates. You will need to demonstrate sound judgment in conducting thorough investigations, root‑cause analysis, and associate care. Pay Rate: $25-30 per hour Shift: Flexible Essential Functions Cultivate a culture of safety among associates by promoting and maintaining a safe working environment. Conduct safety training during the onboarding process for newly hired Integrity associates and internal staff. Coach and retrain individuals exhibiting or practicing unsafe or at‑risk behaviors. Issue safety counsel for serious at‑risk behaviors. Conduct and facilitate in‑depth investigations into safety incidents and concerns reported by Integrity associates. Partner with onsite internal staff, Integrity Safety team, onsite medical representatives, and our client's Safety Department to document incidents and conduct root‑cause analysis. Make corrections as needed to ensure ongoing safety of all employees and staff. In urgent situations, make immediate determinations regarding emergency care of associates. Serve as an internal point of contact for outside medical providers and workers' compensation team. Hold confidential conversations with associates regarding personal medical circumstances. Make determinations regarding the associate's circumstances and their ability to safely continue working in the current role. Manage transitional duty program for associates injured in a work‑related accident. Set expectations and monitor adherence to program requirements. Partner with recruiting process manager and internal employee relations to address performance and behavioral concerns. Issue disciplinary action, when needed, up to and including termination. Identify and inform onsite management team, Integrity Safety Manager, and client safety team of compliance issues, safety risks and improvement opportunities by conducting daily, weekly and monthly audits, including associate safety behavioral audits and building walks. Partner with Integrity and client safety teams to make needed changes to ensure compliance with all required regulations. Ability to work overtime as needed to complete work on a daily/weekly basis. Education & Experience Needed High School Diploma or GED. Previous safety experience, large high‑volume environment experience in warehouse environment. Fully fluent in English and Spanish (reading/writing/speaking). Ability to use office and Google products (Excel, Google Sheets) and Outlook. Must be customer‑driven, demonstrating strong communication skills, accountability and a capacity to work in a fast‑paced environment. Must be self‑motivated and possess the capacity to work well in a team setting, as well as individually. Possess the ability to analyze incident data for potential safety concerns or safety risks. Must be willing to work a variety of shifts— including evenings and weekends, as business demands. #J-18808-Ljbffr
