Job Overview




The Trade Floor ETRM Support Analyst (Level 1/Level 2) provides functional business and operational support for Triple Point Commodity XL (TPT-XL).
The role partners directly with Front Office, Middle Office, Scheduling, Logistics, Risk, Settlements, Accounting, and Operations users to maintain reliable trading processes across the full deal lifecycle.
Responsibilities include rapid incident triage, application troubleshooting, controlled configuration and reference-data maintenance, daily process monitoring, user guidance, root-cause analysis, and effective escalation to vendors, application development, and production support teams.







Key Responsibilities




Serve as the primary Level 1/Level 2 support contact for TPXL users across trading, scheduling, logistics, risk, settlements, accounting, and operations.
Troubleshoot and resolve functional and data issues involving trade capture, pricing and valuation, positions, exposures, risk reporting, scheduling, inventory, settlements, invoicing, market data, curves, and deal lifecycle processing.
Support traders, schedulers, marketers, operations personnel, and business analysts during market hours by assessing business impact, communicating status, providing workarounds, and restoring service quickly.
Configure and maintain TPXL pricing setups, contracts, counterparties, books, portfolios, products, market data, curves, and other business reference data under established controls.
Monitor daily business processes, trade interfaces, batch jobs, workflows, reports, reconciliations, and end-of-day or month-end activities; investigate failures and coordinate recovery.
Analyze recurring incidents, identify root causes, document corrective and preventive actions, and recommend sustainable process or application improvements.
Own incidents, service requests, and problem tickets through closure, maintaining accurate priorities, SLA tracking, escalation details, resolution notes, and user communications.
Partner with business users, vendors, application development, and production support teams to resolve defects, test fixes, and implement minor enhancements and configuration changes.
Create and maintain runbooks, knowledge articles, support procedures, functional documentation, training materials, and shift handover notes.
Provide user coaching and training on TPXL workflows, controls, and effective use of application functionality.







Required Skills




Triple Point expertise: Hands-on experience supporting and configuring Triple Point Commodity XL in a production environment.
Commodity trading knowledge: Strong understanding of physical and financial commodity trading processes and Front Office, Middle Office, and Back Office workflows.
Trade lifecycle: Working knowledge of deal capture, pricing, valuation, position management, exposure and risk reporting, scheduling, logistics, inventory, settlements, invoicing, and accounting handoffs.
Application support: Proven ability to triage incidents, reproduce issues, validate data, analyze application behavior, apply approved corrections, and escalate complex defects with complete business context.
TPXL administration: Experience maintaining contracts, counterparties, books, portfolios, products, pricing setups, curves, market data, and business reference data.
Operations monitoring: Experience monitoring interfaces, batch processing, workflows, reports, reconciliations, and critical daily or period-end activities.
Service management: Experience managing incidents, requests, problems, defects, and production support activities using ServiceNow, Jira, or comparable tools while meeting SLAs.
Business engagement: Effective communication, prioritization, and ownership skills when supporting trade-floor users under time-sensitive market conditions.







Preferred Skills




Experience supporting natural gas, power, LNG, crude, refined products, NGL, or related commodity trading workflows.
Knowledge of nominations, scheduling, actualization, inventory, confirmations, credit, P&L, mark-to-market, exposure, settlements, and physical and financial accounting processes.
Experience with market data administration, price feeds, forward curves, valuation controls, reconciliations, end-of-day processing, and month-end close support.
Practical SQL or data-analysis skills for investigation, validation, and discrepancy tracing.
Experience supporting global or follow-the-sun operations, structured handovers, and on-call coverage. ITIL Foundation, business analysis, commodity trading, ETRM/CTRM, or production support certification.
