The Sautee Cook plays a vital role in preparing and cooking a variety of sautéed dishes within a small kitchen team. Working primarily evening shifts and regularly on weekends, this position reports directly to the Restaurant Manager. The Sautee Cook is responsible for maintaining kitchen safety, managing inventory, adhering to recipes, and ensuring high-quality food standards in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook sautéed dishes according to recipes
- Maintain kitchen safety and sanitation standards
- Manage inventory levels and restock as needed
- Ensure quality control throughout food preparation and service
- Adhere strictly to recipe guidelines and portion control
- Work efficiently within a small team of 1-3 cooks
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more
- Must be able to use stairs
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of cooking experience
- Proficient in food preparation and kitchen safety
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities
- Attention to detail and commitment to sanitation standards
- Excellent customer service and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
