Location: Downers Grove, IL

Pay: Starting pay of $24.00–$27.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 7:30am – 4:00pm

What You'll Do

As our Shipping/Receiving Clerk, you'll play an important role in keeping production running by ensuring materials and finished products are received, stored, and shipped accurately and on time.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Process outgoing shipments by packaging, labeling, and preparing shipping documentation, including bills of lading and carrier paperwork.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure they meet company quality and documentation requirements.
• Load and unload trucks using a forklift or manual methods while following all safety procedures.
• Drive company vehicles, including an F-150 and box truck, for local pickups and deliveries as needed.
• Maintain accurate inventory and shipping/receiving transactions within the Infor ERP system.
• Schedule carrier pickups and coordinate inbound and outbound freight.
• Monitor shipping priorities to ensure on-time customer deliveries.
• Stage materials for production and distribute incoming materials to the appropriate departments.
• Maintain shipping supplies and notify management when inventory needs to be replenished.
• Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory accuracy initiatives.
• Report damaged shipments, shortages, or inventory discrepancies.
• Keep the shipping and receiving area clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow company quality procedures and support ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D standards.
• Support plant operations with material movement and other logistics-related tasks as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 to 3 years of shipping and receiving experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience operating a forklift preferred; certification is a plus.
• Experience driving pickup trucks and box trucks preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Experience with inventory management or ERP systems (Infor experience is a plus).
• Familiarity with UPS, FedEx, and other shipping software is preferred.
• Ability to accurately read packing slips, purchase orders, shipping labels, and bills of lading.
• Basic math skills and the ability to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet throughout the workday.
• Commitment to following safety procedures and company quality standards.
• Willingness to work occasional overtime as business needs require.
