Sprinkler Service Field Team Leader

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Assist in evaluation and hiring process of the field technician workforce to meet the financial and operational goals of the inspection and repair business unit. Evaluate technician personnel skill sets, develop and conduct training programs to achieve cross‑training initiatives. Mentor and train field technicians to assist in their growth and development. Monitor performance and productivity of field technicians. Assist in the performance evaluation process of designated subordinates. Meet with technicians regularly to ensure proper information flow and progress toward stated goals and objectives. Develop and nurture relationships with owners, risk managers, governmental agencies and other potential customers or influencers, maintaining excellent customer relationships. Respond to inquiries from potential customers, track and follow up on inquiries. Interface with sales personnel in estimating service work (job‑site visits, scope concerns, etc.). Review pending work orders and work with customer‑service/dispatch to ensure inspection and repair work orders are planned and scheduled properly. Manage the work‑order process and field teams to achieve target gross margin/profitability and customer satisfaction. Monitor actual financial results against plan and take corrective actions as necessary to ensure the inspection process. Education / Qualification Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree; combination of related experience and education will be considered. Preferred: 5 – 10 years of fire protection industry experience in positions of increased responsibility. Required: Previous experience leading a team of field technicians. Required: Troubleshooting skills, good interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team and independently. Required: Reliable transportation to/from the office or job site; flexible scheduling including evenings, weekends, and occasional out‑of‑town assignments. Required: Ability to recognize and report deviations through inspection programs. Required: Ability to interpret, apply, and explain applicable laws, codes, and regulations. Required: Ability to maintain accurate records and reports. Required: Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions. Required: Ability to use or repair small/light equipment, such as power tools, ladders, medium equipment and machinery. Other Duties Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy. Ability to travel when needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; occasionally required to lift and/or move heavy objects. Physical abilities required include balancing, climbing, grasping, hearing, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, repetitive motion, speaking, talking, and visual acuity. Pay Rate $35 to $45 hourly based on experience.
