Schools near Bourbonnais, IL are seeking a dedicated Social Worker to provide support during a maternity leave from August 17 through November 27. In this full-time position, you'll be working closely with a small caseload of 20-25 students, serving both general education and special education populations.

Qualifications and Experience Desired:
- Valid state credential/certification as a School Social Worker (Type 73 or PEL with Social Work endorsement)
- Prior experience in school-based settings preferred
- Experience working with both general education and special education students
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in educational settings
Responsibilities:
- Deliver social work services to 8th grade students (20-25 caseload), including both general and special education populations
- Conduct individual or group counseling to support emotional, social, and academic growth
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to promote successful student outcomes
- Develop and implement intervention strategies tailored to students’ unique needs
- Document services, assessments, and progress in alignment with school and legal requirements
- Support crisis intervention and serve as a resource to staff for student welfare issues
